Come to The Fells on Tuesday, June 11th from 6-8pm and witness Dwight Wilder, a local portrayer of Theodore Roosevelt, share perspectives and techniques from twenty years of re-enactment, and show how to be convincing, informative, and entertaining while remaining in one’s character. From Jamestown to World War II, the periods of American history are well represented by theatrical reprisors who don the clothing and mannerisms of an era to provide exciting first-person perspectives to modern audiences. Honor Those who Gave the Supreme Sacrifice for Our Freedom

New London Services will be held Monday, May 27th, at the First Baptist Church of New London at 2 p.m., conducted by members of American Legion Post 40 and Unit 40 American Legion Auxiliary.  Both Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops will also participate and the Kearsarge Regional High School Band will provide patriotic music. Sutton Services will begin at 2 p.m. at the South Sutton Meeting House on Sunday, May 26th.  The Kearsarge Regional Middle School Band will perform.  Members of the American Legion Post 40 and Unit 40 of the American Legion Auxiliary will lead the services. Wilmot Services will be held on Monday, May 27th, at the Wilmot Community Association Barn in Wilmot Flat at 5 p.m., led by members of American Legion Post 40 and Unit 40 American Legion Auxiliary.  The Andover School Band will provide patriotic music. Warner Services will be held on Monday, May 27th.  The Veterans' Detail of American Legion Post 39,members of the Kearsarge Regional High School Band and the local scout troops meet at the Legion Hall.  Parade starts at 9 a.m. and marches to the General Harriman Monument in the Town Square to lay a bouquet of flowers.  Parade continues around the Masonic Lodge, down church St., to the Town Hall. The flag will be changed at the Town Hall, assisted by Cub Scout Pack 67, followed by a musical program and guest speaker inside the Town Hall.  All reassemble outside the Town Hall for the march to Pine Grove Cemetery to lay a wreath, rifle salute, then to Warner River Bridge to cast a wreath into the river followed by a rifle salute.

Plus, we received 3” of new snow Wednesday. 50 trails will be open on 200 of 233 acres of terrain. All 11 lifts are scheduled to operate including all three quad chairs. All 4 terrain parks are open with more than 50 features for all abilities including the skier/boarder cross course on Eastside and the Bob Skinner’s 603 Terrain Park with 34 features including the new AcroBag. There’s only one other big resort in New Hampshire close to being 86% open and that resort is way up north. The Sunapee Kearsarge Intercommunity Theatre will present "Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste:  by order of King Henry VIII" on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, December 6, 7, and 9 at the Lake Sunapee Country Club, New London, NH. You can choose between a hearty beef or vegetarian fare prepared by the Country Club's chef.  You'll be entertained by jesters, dancers and a Madrigal Choir singing holiday songs and madrigals. The Towns Are Alive With Music!

The warm weather is finally here, school is almost out and the town commons and bandstands are coming alive with their summer concert series. This Friday, June 10, bring your blankets and chairs and meet at the Mary D. Haddad Bandstand, Sargent Common in New London, NH for entertainment by The Kearsarge Community Band beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Every Friday through August 19th, area bands will be there for your listening pleasure. Ready for a Low-Key Evening with Some Good Music? Come to the Sunapee Community Coffee House

The Sunapee Community Coffee House encourages  professional and amateur musicians to perform in a family style listening room environment where they can offer up their songs and stories to an attentive audience.  Original songs are encouraged, but not required. Events are held Friday evenings at 7pm downstairs at the Sunapee Methodist Church, 17 Lower Main Street in Sunapee, NH.  There is no admission, but a hat is passed for the musicians.  Volunteers are always needed and welcome to sustain the series.

Friends who would like to sponsor the music/room rental for a night are greatly appreciated.  One night's sponsorship is $25 which covers the heat and lights for the space. In turn the emcee makes an honorable mention of you, or your company on the night of your sponsorship. Your business logo, or personal name will be added to the schedule, and goes on all the posters around the area.

Sugarin’ In The Lake Sunapee Area

It’s March in the Lake Sunapee Area, and the days are getting warmer. There are reports of temperatures as high as 45°; however, it cools down at night to the low 20s. Bright sun during the day is warming the trees, and spots of bare ground are showing up.
