Honor Those who Gave the Supreme Sacrifice for Our Freedom
New London Services will be held Monday, May 27th, at the First Baptist Church of New London at 2 p.m., conducted by members of American Legion Post 40 and Unit 40 American Legion Auxiliary. Both Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops will also participate and the Kearsarge Regional High School Band will provide patriotic music. Sutton Services will begin at 2 p.m. at the South Sutton Meeting House on Sunday, May 26th. The Kearsarge Regional Middle School Band will perform. Members of the American Legion Post 40 and Unit 40 of the American Legion Auxiliary will lead the services. Wilmot Services will be held on Monday, May 27th, at the Wilmot Community Association Barn in Wilmot Flat at 5 p.m., led by members of American Legion Post 40 and Unit 40 American Legion Auxiliary. The Andover School Band will provide patriotic music. Warner Services will be held on Monday, May 27th. The Veterans' Detail of American Legion Post 39,members of the Kearsarge Regional High School Band and the local scout troops meet at the Legion Hall. Parade starts at 9 a.m. and marches to the General Harriman Monument in the Town Square to lay a bouquet of flowers. Parade continues around the Masonic Lodge, down church St., to the Town Hall. The flag will be changed at the Town Hall, assisted by Cub Scout Pack 67, followed by a musical program and guest speaker inside the Town Hall. All reassemble outside the Town Hall for the march to Pine Grove Cemetery to lay a wreath, rifle salute, then to Warner River Bridge to cast a wreath into the river followed by a rifle salute.
