The Wilmot Community Association's fourth annual Imagination into Art show will feature more than 15 local artists. There will be a reception and silent auction on Friday, June 24th from 5-7pm in the WCA's Red Barn. Meet the artists while you enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres and participate in the silent auction. Suggested donation is $15/person for the reception and is greatly appreciated. There will be pottery, sculpture, handmade quilts, metalwork, paintings, photographs, and jewelry. The show continues Saturday, June 25th from 9-noon.

Halloween trick-or-treating in the town of Sunapee will be held Saturday, 10/31/15 from 5-8pm. Central Street will be closed to traffic to allow children to go from house to house safely. Check out more ghosts and goblins by the riverside and join the Tailgate trick-or-treating. Cross over the covered bridge and take a stroll through the haunted woods to have your fortune told, if you dare! New London will host their Haunted Woods on Friday, October 30. From 5:30-6:30pm the young children can trick or treat then walk through Spring Ledge to the corn maze. From 7:30-8:30pm the scarier version of the haunted woods will begin and is recommended for ages 12 and up. The haunted walk takes place behind the old Kearsarge Middle School and is free of charge. With some warmer temperatures and snow melting, it's time to think Spring! Spring Ledge Farm will be holding their first seed sowing workshop on March 28th between 10am and 2pm. This will be the third year of this very popular program where you can sow your own seed tray using their seeds, their soil, advice and even their greenhouse space to grow them for a month. Cost for the workshop is $18. You will take home a seed tray with 100 plants of spring hope and promise. Alternatively, for $36, they will grow your seed tray for five weeks, and you can pick it up in the beginning of May. There is no limit on the number of seed trays you sow. The results of a seed tray grown in a greenhouse, with full light, regular watering, fertilizer and daily attention are excellent. Estimated total time needed to pick out seeds and sow the trays to be about 30 minutes. Hope to see you there! The Lake Sunapee Region Center for the Arts is currently seeking original poetry submissions centering on the theme "Poetry Born from Music". For submission rules go to http://www.centerfortheartsnh.org/writing-contest-.html. Please submit by Monday, February 16. Judging by NH Poet Laureate, Alice B. Fogel. Two winning poets will be notified by March 31 and invited to read their poems at The Lake Sunapee Protective Association's Knowlton House at Sunapee Harbor on Friday, April 10 from 5-7pm.
