What Homeowners Should Do in Fall

With the change in the seasons it is a great time to get a jump on prepping your home before the real cold weather hits! 

What to do Outdoors

  1. Clean and store your yard tools: including prepping mowers by using a fuel stabilizer
  2. Remove and empty garden hoses from faucets
  3. Drain your sprinkler system 
  4. Clean your gutters
  5. Inspect your roof from the ground: call in the professionals if you notice any signs of damage to your shingles, or moss and lichen growth

What to do Indoors

  1. Check fire extinguishers: after six years they need to be emptied and reloaded
  2. Check your furnace
  3. Give your fireplace a good check
