What Homeowners Should Do in Fall
With the change in the seasons it is a great time to get a jump on prepping your home before the real cold weather hits!
What to do Outdoors
- Clean and store your yard tools: including prepping mowers by using a fuel stabilizer
- Remove and empty garden hoses from faucets
- Drain your sprinkler system
- Clean your gutters
- Inspect your roof from the ground: call in the professionals if you notice any signs of damage to your shingles, or moss and lichen growth
What to do Indoors
- Check fire extinguishers: after six years they need to be emptied and reloaded
- Check your furnace
- Give your fireplace a good check
