Nature Exploration Story Time - Snow! Snow! Snow!

"Come join LSPA educators at the Center for Lake Studies to explore the natural world. Each Tuesday morning will be filled with hands on learning through sensory experiences, guided exploration, creative play, art, and music. LSPA’s story time is designed for young children and their caregivers. Come to one session or all - each program is organized around a different ecological theme. Come join the fun! This Tuesday morning we will be exploring snowflakes, the properties of water, and why snowflakes are so unique!"

"Playing on the main stages of major Bluegrass festivals around New England, European World of Bluegrass. (Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and the UK) Led by frontman Cecil Abels, a native of Mississippi, a powerful vocalist and rhythm guitarist who was brought to the region courtesy of a career in the U.S. Navy. Cecil aka “Mr Sippy” has assembled a crackerjack band that has opened and shared the stages with the giants of the music, including Del McCoury, Ralph Stanley, Doc Watson and many many others. The band plays original songs and exceptional songs from a deep well of bluegrass and Americana. It’s just a fun group to spend the evening with!"

"Jack and Tim Goodacre are a father and son singing duo from Norwich, England. They were first seen in 2018 when they received Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer during their audition for Series 12 of Britain’s Got Talent. Making it all the way to the Finale and ultimately placing 8th. Since then they have toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe and The United States."

HuManities Mondays: A Decade of Intentional Framing at the Harvard Art Museums

"Allison Jackson is the Associate Conservator of Frames at the Harvard Art Museum’s Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies and is the owner and lead conservator at Allison Jackson Frame Conservation & Gilding in central New Hampshire. Her presentation is about the ways she goes about reframing artworks at the Harvard Art Museums, which covers over a decade’s worth of work and includes a 13th c fragment of an Italian altarpiece, early Netherlandish, Italian Renaissance and Baroque art, a 19th c British artist designed frame, early 20th c American tromp l’oeil works, John Singer Sargent’s oil sketches, Edward Hopper watercolors, historic frames for German Expressionist works, strip frames for modern works, and many more."
