Spring Ledge Farm will be holding a Seed Sowing Workshop on Saturday, March 29 from 10-1pm, Part I, and Part II will be on April 19. They will show the basics of sowing flower and vegetable seeds.  You can sow your own tray of seedlings in their greenhouse.  Choose from dozens of seed varieties.  They will supply the seeds, soil, seed trays and expertise.  You choose your favorites and do the sowing.  There will be basil seeds, tomato, pepper, broccoli and other vegetable seeds, marigolds, impatiens, lupine and coreopsis flower seeds.   You may also purchase seeds at the farm from their offerings of High Mowing organic seeds and Hart's seeds.

Cost is $16. per seed tray you take home, or for $32, they will keep the seed tray in their controlled environment greenhouse and tend to the germination and growth of the seedlings for 4 weeks.  One seed tray equals 100 plants.  A great way to invest in garden starts, or perhaps in a mass planting of a particular cultivar.
